Sample Shipping Instructions

SPECIMEN REQUIREMENTS

Human samples for microarray analysis can be submitted in multiple forms, listed below in order of preference. For additional instruction on how to prepare samples, contact us at lab@clgenetics.com.

Requisition form

• Each sample must be accompanied by its own Test Requisition Form. The test requisition form can be found on our website http://www.clgenetics.com/submitting-samples/

1) FROZEN CELLS

• Transfer at least 1.5 million cells to a 1.5mL microcentrifuge tube
• Centrifuge the tube for 5 minutes at 300 × g. Remove supernatant, careful not to disturb the cell pellet
• Freeze cell pellet at -80oC
• When ready to ship, place tube of frozen cells into a Styrofoam container filled with dry-ice
• Ship the samples to CLG at the mailing address listed below
• Contact CLG using the email address listed below to inform us of the expected delivery date (with tracking number if possible)

2) CRYOPRESERVED CELLS

• Cryopreserved cells must have at least 1.5 million cells present
• Cells must be frozen with the presence of a cryopreservant (such as DMSO)
• When ready to ship, place tube of frozen cells into a Styrofoam container filled with dry-ice
• Ship the samples to CLG at the mailing address listed below
• Contact CLG using the email address listed below to inform us of the expected delivery date (with tracking number if possible)

3) LIVE CULTURE

• Live culture must have at least 1 million cells
• Fill the culture flask to the top with complete media and tighten the cap
• Wrap the T-25 flask in absorbent paper toweling and place them in separate leak proof zip-lock bags. Wrap each bag in bubble wrap
• Place culture flask in a small Styrofoam box and fill with additional absorbent material so that the contents do not move
• Ship the samples to CLG at the mailing address listed below
• Contact CLG using the email address listed below to inform us of the expected delivery date (with tracking number if possible)

4) gDNA

gDNA for microarray analysis is currently not being accepted.
